David Henry Honored for Service
Longtime SHAES firefighter David Henry, who retired after five decades of service earlier this month, was honored by colleagues, family and friends on Tuesday, March 17.
David joined the South Haven Fire Department in 1978 and rose to the rank of captain in the South Haven Area Emergency Services. Bob Henry, David’s father, was also a longtime member of the department joining in 1958. David’s daughter Kristina is a current member of the department. David was recognized as the department’s Firefighter of the Year in 1998. His father had received the honor in 1990.
